Job Summary 
Installer III is an advanced-level flooring installer responsible for expert installation of LVT, sheet vinyl, tile, and carpet in commercial settings. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership capabilities. 

Installer III is expected to: 
  • Work independently on complex installations 
  • Handle intricate designs, patterns, and specialty installs 
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges in the field 
  • Lead, train, and mentor junior installers 
  • Ensure precision, efficiency, and quality in every job 
Key Responsibilities 
1. Expert Flooring Installation & Technical Mastery 
  • Install LVT, sheet vinyl, carpet, tile, and other resilient flooring to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. 
  • Create precise tile layouts, including complex patterns and custom insets. 
  • Install carpet using direct glue-down, stretch-in, and double-stick methods. 
  • Perform self-leveling and moisture mitigation when required. 
  • Execute flash cove and cove base installations per job specifications. 
2. Advanced Subfloor Preparation & Problem-Solving 
  • Assess concrete, wood, and other substrates for installation readiness. 
  • Identify and resolve leveling, moisture, or adhesion issues before installation. 
  • Repair and patch subfloors, ensuring proper bonding and durability. 
  • Adapt to job-site challenges and provide solutions that maintain quality. 
3. Leadership & Mentorship 
  • Act as a go-to expert for complex flooring installs and troubleshooting. 
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior installers. 
  • Lead small install crews when needed to ensure job efficiency. 
  • Hold team members accountable for quality workmanship and professionalism. 
4. Precision & Quality Control 
  • Ensure tight seams, straight cuts, and flawless finishes on every job. 
  • Follow all manufacturer guidelines to maintain product warranties. 
  • Perform detailed inspections of completed work to guarantee excellence. 
5. Professionalism & Job-Site Conduct 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. 
  • Communicate professionally with general contractors, project managers, and customers. 
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies. 
  • Represent Masters Petersens Flooring with professionalism at every job site. 
Qualifications 

Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial and residential flooring installation.
Proven expertise in LVT, sheet vinyl, tile, and carpet—including custom work.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job-site plans.
Strong understanding of substrate preparation, moisture mitigation, and adhesives.
Excellent problem-solving skills—able to troubleshoot and adjust in the field.
Leadership skills—ability to train and support junior installers.
Valid driver's license, tools and reliable transportation. 
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
